Decent homes schemes are government schemes to upgrade social housing properties to decent homes standard, the onus is on social housing landlords to ensure all the properties on the books are brought up to standard. Fletchrose have within the company many years of experience in this type of works and have been very successful in carrying it out on the One Vision Housing scheme in Sefton, Merseyside. The works undertaken will and have included renewal of windows and doors from timber frame to UPVC double glazed, complete kitchen and bathroom refurbishment, new heating systems throughout properties, complete and partial rewires,. The properties have ranged from low rise houses, 2 and 3 storey blocks of flats to multi storey blocks of flats and sheltered schemes. All have their own special requirements and need constant reviewing of the process in the way they are carried through to completion. Constant consultation with residents is paramount, setting up KPI’s and monitoring them regularly to assess shortfalls and positives is always a way of achieving high customer satisfaction scores.
